Ventyfy, Inc. ("Ventyfy," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit ventyfy.com, use the Ventyfy mobile application, or use any related product or service that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services").
OUR CORE PRIVACY COMMITMENT. Ventyfy does not save or store what you say during a Release. After a Release ends, we do not retain your voice or audio recording, a transcript of your voice, or the substantive content of what you said. Ventyfy therefore cannot later restore, replay, or read the content of a completed Release.
Ventyfy is a non-clinical consumer wellness product. The Services are intended to support everyday emotional release, stress management, and focus. They are not therapy, medical care, mental-health treatment, crisis care, or a substitute for professional healthcare.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information handled by Ventyfy through the Services. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of third parties, such as an app store or payment provider, when those parties process information under their own privacy policies.
Where a jurisdiction gives you privacy rights that cannot be waived, this Policy is intended to preserve those rights.
2. Information We Collect
Account and contact information. If you create an account or contact us, we may collect information such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, account settings, support communications, and subscription status.
Release activity information. We may collect limited non-content product events such as the Release selected, whether it was started or completed, duration, feature interactions, free Releases used, and information necessary to operate product features such as My Journey. This information does not include the substantive content of what you said during a Release.
Voice and Release content. Ventyfy does not retain the voice/audio recording, transcript, or substantive content of what you said after a Release ends. Release content is not available to Ventyfy for later playback, review, or retrieval.
Device, usage, and diagnostic information. We may collect limited technical information such as device and operating-system type, app version, IP address, approximate region derived from IP address, session information, crash and performance diagnostics, pages or screens viewed, and similar operational information.
Transaction and subscription information. Purchases may be processed by Apple, Google, Stripe, or another payment provider. Ventyfy generally does not receive or store your full payment-card number. We may receive transaction information such as plan, subscription status, purchase date, amount, and transaction identifier.
Communications. If you contact Ventyfy, we may retain your message and contact information as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, or comply with law. Please do not send private Release content to us by email.
3. Sources of Information
We obtain information directly from you; automatically from your device or use of the Services; and from service providers or platforms that support functions such as authentication, subscriptions, payments, analytics, security, and application distribution.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- provide, maintain, secure, personalize, and improve the Services;
- create and administer accounts, subscriptions, access rights, and free-use limits;
- operate product features, including My Journey where applicable;
- understand product usage, completion, reliability, and performance without retaining the content of completed Releases;
- diagnose technical issues and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- provide customer support and send service-related communications;
- send marketing communications where permitted by law and subject to applicable choices;
- comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, enforce our agreements, and protect Ventyfy, users, and others; and
- develop and evaluate new features in a manner consistent with this Policy.
5. Release Privacy: What We Do Not Retain
Privacy is part of the architecture of the Ventyfy experience. After a Release ends:
- Ventyfy does not save or store what you said;
- Ventyfy does not retain your voice or audio recording;
- Ventyfy does not retain a transcript of your voice;
- Ventyfy does not retain the substantive content of what you said for later review or retrieval; and
- Ventyfy does not sell Release content or use it to create advertising profiles.
These commitments apply to the content of a completed Release. They do not prevent Ventyfy from retaining limited non-content events, such as which Release was selected or whether it was completed, when described in this Policy.
6. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose limited information as follows:
Service providers and processors. We may engage providers of infrastructure, hosting, authentication, analytics, error monitoring, security, communications, payments, and similar services. They may process information on our behalf for authorized business purposes and subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
App stores and payment providers. Apple, Google, Stripe, or other providers may independently process purchase, subscription, device, or account information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Legal, compliance, and safety purposes. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is reasonably necessary to protect rights, property, security, or safety. Because Ventyfy does not retain completed Release content, we cannot produce
Release content that we do not possess.
Corporate transactions. Information may be disclosed to appropriate parties in connection with a financing, investment, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, due diligence process, or similar transaction, subject to applicable safeguards.
At your direction. We may disclose information when you direct, request, or consent to the disclosure.
7. Sale, Sharing, Targeted Advertising, and Privacy Signals
Ventyfy does not sell the content of your Releases. Ventyfy does not intend to sell personal information for money.
Certain privacy laws define terms such as "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly and may apply to particular advertising or analytics technologies even when no money changes hands. If Ventyfy adopts practices that trigger an applicable opt-out right, we will provide the legally required notice and choice mechanism and will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals where required.
We will not use the substantive content of a completed Release for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Cookies, SDKs, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, software development kits (SDKs), local storage, and similar technologies to operate and secure the Services, remember settings, measure product performance, diagnose errors, and understand how features are used.
Third-party code incorporated into the Services may process data as part of providing its functionality. Ventyfy's production disclosures, consent mechanisms, and app-store privacy declarations are intended to reflect the technologies actually deployed.
Where applicable law requires consent or provides a right to opt out of particular technologies, Ventyfy will provide the required mechanism.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing and securing the Services, maintaining legitimate business and transaction records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and enforcing agreements.
Retention periods vary by category. Account, subscription, tax, accounting, and transaction records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or legally required.
Completed Release content is treated differently: Ventyfy does not retain the voice/audio recording, transcript, or substantive content of what you said after the Release ends.
10. Account and Data Deletion
If you have an account, you may request deletion through any deletion functionality made available in the Services or by contacting hello@ventyfy.com.
When applicable, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account subject to legally permitted or required exceptions, such as information necessary for fraud prevention, security, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Deletion of an account does not require deletion of information that Ventyfy is legally entitled or required to retain.
11. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. We also seek appropriate protections from service providers that process information on our behalf.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data minimization is an important part of Ventyfy's privacy design. Because the content of completed Releases is not retained by Ventyfy, that content is not available in Ventyfy's systems for later retrieval.
12. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights regarding your personal information, including rights to access or know, obtain a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, delete certain information, opt out of certain sales, sharing, profiling, or targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, appeal certain privacy-request decisions, and receive equal service and pricing when exercising privacy rights.
These rights are subject to statutory definitions, applicability thresholds, exceptions, and verification requirements. Nothing in this Policy is intended to provide fewer rights than applicable law requires.
To exercise an applicable privacy right, contact hello@ventyfy.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. If applicable law gives you a right to appeal our decision on a privacy request, you may submit an appeal through the same contact address.
13. California Privacy Notice
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA), applies to Ventyfy's processing of your information, California residents may have rights including the right to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights, subject to applicable exceptions.
The categories of personal information Ventyfy may collect are described in Section 2; the sources are described in Section 3; business and commercial purposes are described in Section 4; and categories of recipients are described in Section 6.
Ventyfy does not intend to sell personal information for money. If Ventyfy engages in activity that constitutes "selling" or "sharing" under the CCPA, Ventyfy will provide the notices, links, preference-signal treatment, and opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law.
California residents may submit applicable requests at hello@ventyfy.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights granted by applicable California privacy law.
14. Sensitive and Wellness-Related Information
Users may choose to speak about highly personal matters while using a Release. Ventyfy's architecture is designed to reduce privacy risk by not retaining the voice/audio recording, transcript, or substantive content of what the user said after a Release ends.
Ventyfy is a non-clinical consumer wellness service. It is not a healthcare provider merely because users may discuss emotions or wellness topics. Depending on the Services' future features and data flows, federal or state laws concerning consumer health information may apply. Ventyfy will evaluate and implement legally required notices, consent, security, and breach-response obligations as applicable.
15. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and Ventyfy does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Services. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact hello@ventyfy.com so we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.
If Ventyfy later offers a service directed to children or materially changes its age eligibility, we will implement the notices, parental-consent mechanisms, and other protections required before launching that service.
16. International Users
If you use the Services outside the United States, information other than non-retained Release content may be processed in the United States or other countries in which Ventyfy or its service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from those of your jurisdiction.
If Ventyfy becomes subject to international data-protection regimes that require additional disclosures, legal bases, transfer safeguards, or rights mechanisms, Ventyfy will provide them as required.
17. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Independent third parties govern their own privacy practices. Ventyfy is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties, and we encourage you to review their applicable notices.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, technology, business, or legal obligations evolve. We will revise the "Last Updated" date when changes are made and provide additional notice when required by law.
If Ventyfy ever proposes to materially change its architecture so that voice/audio, transcripts, or the substantive content of completed Releases would be retained, Ventyfy will update applicable disclosures before implementing that materially different practice and will obtain any consent required by law.
